About our Presenters:

Bernice Baussan, Chief Operating Officer, Caribbean Port Services
Born in Port-au-Prince Haiti, Berenice Baussan holds a B.S.in finance and economics from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and an M.S.in economic history from the London School of Economics. In 2005, she joined International Maritime Terminal (IMT) as General Manager andin2016, when the three private terminals operating in the Port-au-Prince complex merged into CPS, she was named Chief OperatingOfficer of the new entity. Ms. Baussan played a major role in the implementation of Octopi at IMT (the first terminal to use the system and the first to successfully exchange EDI in Haiti) and later on at CPS.

Luc Castera, Founder & Product Director, Octopi by Navis
Luc Castera is the founder of Octopi, a SaaS platform used by cargo port terminals to manage their operations. He has a passion for helping businesses improve their operations by using modern software tools and making data-driven decisions. Before starting Octopi, Mr. Castera was the CTO of Intellum, where he led the development of Tribe Social and the Exceed Learning Management Software for clients like Google, Snapchat, Cricket Wireless, and Allied Universal.

Martin Bardi, VP Global Sales, Octopi by Navis
With over 25 years in the business—20 of which he has spent working with Navis and its products—Martin Bardi has an unparalleled knowledge of the maritime shipping industry and its nuances. Prior to focusing on Octopi and XVELA, Mr. Bardi was VP and General Manager at Navis for all sales, support and professional services in the Latin American region. He started at Navis in 1999 as a Senior Project Manager in the professional services department and has provided support on dozens of implementations.
