We maintain a continuous dialogue with ship owners, ship managers and liner operators as well as with classification societies during Navis Carrier & Vessel Solutions' customer conferences - and beyond.
Lashing Regulations in MACS3
All in One - One of the major advantages of the MACS3 loading computer is that the instrument offers not only the results and checks in terms of stability, strength, dangerous goods, and reefers but also has integrated lashing calculations approved by major classification societies.
Thanks to the common SeaLash calculation module of MACS3 loading instrument and StowMan planning tool, the crew onboard and the stowage planner ashore share the same calculation results based on cargo security regulations of all major classification societies.
Up-to-Date – Over the past decades, the cargo securing regulations have become increasingly complex, taking into account higher stacks and external lashing systems etc. Meanwhile, the classification societies deliver the software libraries with nonlinear solvers to be implemented into the loading instrument.
Our software engineers have integrated the latest updates into the MACS3 SEALASH module so that ship owners and managers can profit from improved cargo securing calculations.
Check before You Invest - Upgrading to the latest cargo securing rules may result in higher cargo intake for long-haul voyages and/or in a lower number of restow operations depending on the vessel and the loading conditions.
Using the Consultancy Service of Navis naval architects can model how to profit from upgrading to the newest lashing rules - to support fact-based decision-making for lashing upgrades.
